Thank you, Eyre! Yeah, I totally got the feeling they were thinking of more traditional romance. I think they kind of felt bad that they didn’t realize earlier that I write GAY romance. They were very nice to me, just quite surprised and trying not to show it. Hopefully now that they’ve seen some gay romance, they can look at the romance genre a little differently. With that in mind I don’t mind so much not being in the article

Having grown up in Western NC, I can honestly say that it is a lovely place . . . however, I’m not surprised that they were shocked by your books. The folks at that magazine probably think in terms of “traditional” romance, and in my opinion, they don’t know what they’re missing. I’m currently reading Oleander House, and I’ve loved every page so far. All in all, you don’t need their little magazine. Your books are great!

Most likely, yeah. Like I said, they were very nice to me. And I do love the magazine, it’s well done and quite interesting, even without yours truly in it *g*
It just would’ve saved all of us a little time and effort if they’d checked out my website first. I’m still not sure how they knew the titles of two of my books without figuring out what I write! LOL.

Hi, Ally,
Don’t feel bad. My thought is that the magazine just does not realize how many “closet” readers are out there. They didn’t think there would be enough people interested in your genre and they wanted to appeal to a broader base. Unlike traditional romance and even the vampire stuff one cannot simply walk into Barnes & Noble and pick up the latest Ally Blue. Take care, Dlee
